The St. Louis RID chapter is happy to present a FREE workshop "Increasing your Business Saavy, Increase your Marketability" June 23rd, 2007 10am to 1pm St. Louis Community College, Training Center, Room 101 cost: FREE .3 CEUs will be avail Presenters will be Jaime Snider, Freelance Interpreter Susan Power, Owner of Deaf Services Agency This workshop will offer the viewpoint of an interpreter as well as an agency regarding common interpreter practices. Topics of discussion will be ideas about marketing, networking, invoicing, bookkeeping, standard rates and policies, importance of insurance, practices of caution, and standard industry protocol. New interpreters will get an idea of how they may like to run they own business. Experienced interpreters may pick up a tidbit or two. Also, audience participation is greatly encourage.
