Countdown to DeaFestival, September 6, 2008, 9:00am:
NEWS FLASH
RTR/Deaf Community Center To the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Community, sponsors, and booth exhibitors: I am thrilled to announce that we have recently learned of the opportunity to make the DEAFestival an even more exciting event for everyone! We have learned that there is the possibility of teaming up with the ASL Film Festival in 2009. Therefore, we have decided, upon the recommendation of our hard-working DEAFestival committee, to postpone the DEAFestival to 2009 so that we can take advantage of this EXCITING opportunity! Also, as you may have been aware that the KY DEAFestival often does it every two even years, we thought it would bring more attendees on odd years, such as 2009. This would make the St. Louis DEAFestival even more attractive to people around the country. For those who already paid for the exhibition booth, your request will be honored for 2009. However, if the 2009 date conflicts with your exhibition schedule, we are more than happy to refund your money. We hope you will continue to be an exhibitor in 2009 during the combined DEAFestival/ASL Film Festival of 2009!!! For those that have already agreed to be a sponsor of the DEAFestival, you will continue to be a sponsor. While your status as a sponsor is set in stone and will not be changed, this represents an opportunity to make more contributions to an even more EXCITING event! Furthermore, this would give you as sponsors many more months of free publicity!! We would welcome any further contributions you may desire to make. The date for the 2009 event will be announced within 90 days. Please share this news to everyone. We do thank you for your patience and we look forward to seeing you in 2009!!!
